In Welcome to the Arts Forum
The motto "think globally, act locally" was sedimented in the new millennium. Networks of solidarity among equals were woven at the neighborhood or sectoral levels, social and cooperative economy spaces were built to generate decent employment, new projects for personal, family and collective life were tried out that would weaken the patriarchy, proposals were put forward that do more compatible urban and rural life, the rights of nature were enunciated, etc. In addition, proximity acquired a dynamic role. The municipal bets, that connect institutions and communities, traced new possible futures to materialize from the present. Self-centered habitats where to build and exercise citizenship. Cities and towns that weave networks and cooperative relationships. The Whatsapp Mobile Number List changing. The vectors that had been the backbone of industrial societies are altered. A new era emerges. In the economic sphere, technological disruption and its socio-digital relationships are unleashed; financialization and its speculative logics spread; and factors and expressions of vulnerability are redefined. In the cultural sphere, a world of complexities erupts that affects daily life itself (new affective and gender relations, multicultural cities, emerging forms of coexistence); and vital discontinuities and biographical uncertainties appear (global migrations, changing links, ages in transition). In the ecological sphere, awareness is growing –and to a lesser extent, action– on socially produced global environmental risks (climate change, air pollution); and processes of gentrification, urban segregation and geographies of depopulation are also drawn.
